Dossier — Privacy Policy

Dossier is a Chrome extension that reads a LinkedIn profile you are looking at
and writes you a short brief about that person, built only from what they have
published. This policy describes exactly what it collects, where that goes, and
how long it is kept. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

What we collect
About you. When you sign in with Google we receive your email address and a
Google account identifier. We do not receive your password, your contacts, or
anything else from your Google account. We also store your credit balance and a
record of each brief you have generated.
About the profiles you look at. When you press the button on a LinkedIn
profile, the extension reads the text of that person's public profile page,
their experience and interests pages, and their public posts and comments. That
text, the links to those posts, and their dates are sent to our server and used
to generate your brief.
The extension reads nothing until you press the button, and it only ever runs on
linkedin.com. It does not track your browsing, does not read pages you have
not asked about, and does not run on any other website.
Where it goes
Captured text is sent to our backend, hosted on Supabase (AWS, United
States), and to Anthropic for processing by a language model. Anthropic does
not use data submitted through its API to train models.
We do not sell data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose other
than producing the brief you asked for.
How long it is kept

Your choices, and other people's
You can delete any brief you have generated, and you can ask us to close your
account and delete everything associated with it.
The people a brief is written about did not sign up for this, so they get the
same right. If you are the subject of a brief and want every copy of your data
removed, write to goldi.sorathiya@gmail.com and we will delete every brief and
capture about you, held by any user, and confirm when it is done.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and note the
change in the extension's listing.
